The Kitchen Woven from Ceramic Flowers

Published · Updated

Small pieces of blue, green and cream pottery turn this kitchen into a continuous floral composition. White ceramic petals spread across the floor, wind around the curved breakfast bench and climb the thick doorway beside the stove. Irregular edges and visible grout give each surface a handmade character. Dark teal cupboard doors and the black range provide quieter shapes within the intricate pattern.

The rounded breakfast table brings the same design into the foreground. Its pale stone top catches patches of sunlight, while a wooden chair and green cushions soften the surrounding masonry. Copper pans hang above the far counter, and a narrow pantry recess keeps jars and baskets in deeper shade. A plain plaster vault and rough timber lintels let the decorated lower surfaces hold attention.

Through the open doorway, a fig tree, terracotta pots and pale garden walls extend the room into a small courtyard. Autumn light falls unevenly across the tiled floor and leaves the corners comfortably dim. The scene offers inspiration for a kitchen where practical fittings, patient craft and a garden outlook become one coherent place.
