The Opal Rose Dining Gallery
Published · Updated
Three curved stained glass panels form the luminous roof of this lakeside dining gallery. Red flowers and curling green stems grow around milky pale centres, with amber discs and narrow blue borders adding small bright accents. Cream plaster ribs divide the panels, and sculpted leaves continue around the tall arched windows. Beyond the glass, a calm lake and wooded shore bring open air and fresh spring light into the room.
Round tables dressed in white linen stand between curved walnut chairs with dusty pink upholstery. Simple glasses, plain plates and small flower arrangements keep the tables light and inviting. A tall mirror at the far end reflects the decorated roof and extends the view, while wall lamps add a gentle golden note to the pale plaster. Sunlight crosses the oak floor in soft patches, revealing its grain and worn edges. The photograph balances elaborate overhead craft with an uncluttered dining space, allowing the ceiling, windows and lake to share the scene.
