A horse explores the umbrella meadow
Published · Updated
A dapple-gray horse walks through an umbrella meadow in the soft light after rain. Clear domes rise on either side of a broad grassy aisle, their curved surfaces catching bright droplets and pale reflections. The horse holds its head slightly lowered and its ears forward as one forehoof lifts for the next measured step. Its dark mane falls loosely along the neck.
The umbrellas make a repeated pattern without closing off the route. Black ribs divide the transparent surfaces into fine wedges, while the grass remains visible beneath their edges. Near the foreground, droplets turn the curved plastic into scattered points of light. The horse's mottled coat adds another quiet pattern among the repeated arcs.
A broad beech tree stretches over the installation, with dense green leaves shading the near side of the meadow. Beyond its branches, low hills fade into blue morning mist. The damp grass, dark mane and silver coat share the same soft illumination, keeping the animal closely connected to its surroundings. An ordinary walk becomes an intriguing encounter with a field arranged in translucent shapes.
