Lotus seed pods rise above the autumn pond
Published · Updated
Lotus seed pods rise above the autumn pond at different heights and angles. The nearest tilted head reveals a broad shallow disc filled with irregular seed cavities, their rough rims catching the light. A few darker seeds remain inside, while the other openings look empty against the leathery brown surface.
Slender curved stems connect the pods to the growing space below. Copper leaves curl over the dark water, with one softer olive leaf adding a trace of remaining green. The close side view includes both the detailed seed head and the pond around it, keeping the drying plants within a quiet scene of reflected light and autumn foliage.
