Violet sea snail drifts beneath its bubble raft
Published · Updated
A violet sea snail hangs beneath a bubble raft at the boundary between sea and air. Its pale spiral shell turns downward into clear turquoise water, while a short section of darker soft tissue joins it to the transparent cluster above. Fine growth lines circle the shell, and the open lip catches a small band of light.
The waterline cuts gently across the upper part of the frame. Rounded bubbles sit at different heights within the raft, reflecting fragments of blue sky and violet shell. Below them, suspended specks and soft patterns on the distant seabed give the water depth. The animal remains the clear center of attention, with space around its unusual floating support.
Above the surface, a blurred coastal horizon and small waves suggest a wider setting beyond the close view. The restrained blue and purple palette makes the picture both vivid and calm. It works as a marine nature image, a coastal accent or a visual invitation to notice the small, unfamiliar lives that share the ocean surface.
